There’s a certain melancholic beauty about a holiday resort out of season. At Dawlish Warren, the shops are all closed, only the odd dog walker on the beach. A cold wind, rough sea and wide open space and just hints of the life in summer; shut up beach huts, walkways and litter bins. It feels like the place is just waiting to happen again, bracing itself for the influx of holiday-makers but in the meantime, taking a bit of a breather and relaxing and having a bit of down-time. This is the spot I sometimes walk my dog and have visited a couple of times with my camera.
